Woodland 2013 Projects Update
A number of projects are underway at Woodland this spring.
The largest project is renovation of the recreational building. This was constructed in 1977 by Tooger Smith. It serves to provide a facility for indoor recreation with room for indoor basketball/volleyball and table games such as ping pong, air hockey and fosse ball. The camp store is also located there with a seating area. This spring a new roof has been added. Currently, the interior is being remodeled by Bryan Sparks and his father. There are recent photos of the work in progress. All of the interior walls are being covered with insulation and metal sheeting. Exterior slider windows are being added. The two sides are being air conditioned and new ceiling fans are being added. These rooms will have metal doors with glass windows. The interior walls are also being covered with insulation and metal siding with specialty glass windows in the walls. Please see photos.

In addition to these new projects, the usual spring maintenance and repair is underway this week with Fish & Work Week under the direction of J.R. Satterfield.
This week-end, the Spring Retreat will be held with a focus on Spring Clean-Up by the campers and staff. The retreat is led by Jeff Adams and Larry Bryant. In addition to the service projects, there will be time for fun and fellowship.
If you would like to volunteer to help at camp this spring, there are many other tasks to be completed. Please contact any of the Board members for more information. (Please see the Board of Directors tab.)
Woodland could not operate without the kind and generous dedication of the countless volunteers over the past 59 years. We appreciate each and every one.
